Luiz To Join Gunners
The Brazilian international is out in the cold at Stamford Bridge and could be sold during the transfer window as he looks to get his career back on track.
Luiz was dropped by Antonio Conte at the end of October but then picked up a knee injury which he is now back in training after recovering from.
The Blues believe he will be back to fitness in time for next week’s FA Cup third round tie against Norwich City but he still faces an uncertain future.
The Gunners have had concerns about their central defence all season and he would certainly add some strength to the department.
But it remains to be seen if Chelsea would be willing to sell him to a Premier League rival in which case it could open up a switch to Italian giants Juventus.
Tottenham To Get Bale Back
Real Madrid are ready to offer Gareth Bale back to Tottenham – in a bid to sign Harry Kane. That would amount to a £150million cash-plus-player package for the Spurs goal-machine.
Spurs reluctantly sold Bale, 28, to Real four years ago for £85m. They have an agreement with the Madrid club that they will be informed of any offer from another Premier League club – and have the option to match it.
Manchester United have regularly been linked with Bale – and have always wanted Kane, 24. But the Daily Star Sunday understands the fear at Old Trafford is that England striker Kane will move to Madrid – with Bale possibly going the other way.
There will be no deal of that nature in this transfer window. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and boss Mauricio Pochettino are adamant that Kane is staying.
