With Steven George Gerrard about to head to LA Galaxy who will be the next great leader at Liverpool FC?

Nostalgia of Gerrard's Charity Game Underlines Need for New Liverpool Leaders LIVERPOOL — The Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher All-Star match on Sunday saw a host of former team-mates return to Merseyside to raise money for local charities. The timing of the match was odd, but due to stadium expansion work it couldn't go ahead after the season ended, and Gerrard had played his final game for the club. So instead, some of Europe's biggest names took time out during the season to pay respect to their former captain. Chris Brunskill/Getty Images Liverpool supporters finally got to witness the partnership that never was as Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres emerged from the Anfield tunnel together for the second half. Suarez arrived at the club hours before Torres' controversial departure back in January 2011. While the duo's return was the main

WrestleMania 31 Match Results

Image
The winners of Sting vs. Triple H, Rusev vs. Cena, Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt, Lesnar vs. Reigns and more!  Sting had his first (and last?) match in the WWE! The Undertaker returned after his big loss to Brock Lesnar last year to face Bray Wyatt! John Cena battled to crush the undefeated Rusev! The Rock showed up with Ronda Rousey (after hosting SNL last night)! And the Brock Lesnar/Roman Reigns match had a very surprising outcome! Let's get to it! It's cool that the Usos got to walk that WrestleMania asile despite Jay's shoulder injury. Jimmy competed alone for most of the match due to Jay "being taken out of the match" early.  A nice, fast-moving high-energy opener to reward the sun-soaked crowd. And considering the amount of participants - four teams, Natalya, Torito, Naomi - it came off well. In an ideal world, tag titles would be on the main show, but it was creative for what it was. A lot of chaos, some fun spots (loved the Sh

Twin Sisters Who Killed Mother Get 30-yrs Sentence

Jasmiyah and Tasimyah Whitehead were 16 when they stabbed their mother, Jarmecca, 34, to death. They stabbed her so violently and repeatedly that they severed her spinal cord. The twins attacked their mother after getting into an argument on January 13, 2010, at their home in Conyers, Georgia before school. They dragged her injured body to the bathtub and watched her die slowly, before setting out to school. The twins recounted the events that day up to the mother. They related how it had begun as an argument when it turned violent. Jasmiyah broke a pot over her mother’s head while Tasmiyah, in the chaos, stabbed her mother, with Jasmiyah strangling her with a ribbon. The twins then carried their mother and submerged her in a bathtub filled with water. They watched her die and related their mother saying how much she hated them as she died. After the murder, they took her purse and phone while putting the knife and pot in a plastic bag before setting out to school. It wasn’t un

WWE Raw results, March 23, 2015: Reigns and Lesnar come face to face as The Road to WrestleMania concludes

Image
Roman Reigns confronted WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar No snowstorm, no studio, no rules. For the first time since their  close-quarters confrontation  in Stamford, Conn., two months ago, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar came face-to-face in a WWE ring. Even with the absence of a Snowmageddon-caliber blizzard outside Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center, the atmosphere was indeed chilly between The Beast Incarnate and  his No. 1 contender , who not only interrupted Paul Heyman’s latest round of  Eat-Sleep-Promo-Repeat , but also refused to flinch at The Conqueror’s thuggish intimidation games. In fact, Reigns flat-out defied The Anomaly  by snatching the title out of his hands, setting up a literal shoving match  as Raw went to black. Of course, Brock Lesnar does not fight for free, so for one more night, Roman Reigns got away with his bravado. But only one more night. Believe it.

Brock Lesnar re-signs with WWE

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar revealed he re-signed with WWE on ESPN’s SportsCenter during an interview with Michelle Beadle. “I’m officially closing the door on MMA,” Lesnar told Beadle. “I re-signed (with WWE) last night. We came to a conclusion last night. The offer on the table, I just could not refuse.” During the build-up to  Lesnar’s title defense against Roman Reigns  at WrestleMania 31, Paul Heyman  admitted his client’s contract was set to expire soon after The Show of Shows. Heyman even threatened Lesnar was willing to take the title wherever he pleased — including various mixed martial arts promotions — leaving Lesnar’s post-WrestleMania status up in the air.  Watch WrestleMania for $9.99 on WWE Network this Sunday  |  Watch ‘Here Comes the Pain’ The Beast Incarnate returned to WWE in 2012 after an eight-year hiatus, during which time he competed in UFC. Lesnar captured his fourth WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 20

Realistic Expectations for Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31

Image
Of all the matches on the card at WrestleMania 31, there may not be one that splits opinion quite like Bray Wyatt's showdown against The Undertaker. On one hand, there's the belief that Wyatt needs this win perhaps more than any other win he's picked up in his career to date. After all, he's struggled for any serious momentum over the last six months. However, having Taker lose two consecutive WrestleMania matches is something that would have been unthinkable prior to his defeat to Brock Lesnar last year, with some wondering where that leaves his legacy. What can we realistically expect from this blockbuster match at WrestleMania? The first thing we can expect is an Undertaker who could look strikingly different from the one we last saw 12 months ago against Lesnar . There has to be a reason why WWE is keeping him off TV throughout the entirety of the build towards the match, just as it did 11 years ago. Back then, Kane did the whole of th

Undertaker Is the Last of WrestleMania's Great Storytellers

Image
The Undertaker is one of the guys who has helped maintain WWE's spot as the most captivating company in the industry WWE lives and dies by its storytelling. All of the great physiques, loud music and flashy pyro add to the presentation, of course, but it's the work done in the ring that matters the most.  Storytelling is the backbone of the company, and one of its greatest storytellers will be taking the stage at WrestleMania 31. The Undertaker is one of the guys who has helped maintain WWE's spot as the most captivating company in the industry.  He's done that thanks to the body of work he's put in over the years, and that is especially true of his work at Mania. When it comes to standing before an audience and presenting a story to draw them in, The Deadman is second to none.  He is the master narrator, one who is able take fans on an emotional journey with both his words and his actions. And that journey has seen him domin

A man gets shot in the chest and you won't believe what he did first before getting help

He took a selfie first. True story! Read below      20 year-old Isaac Martinez was shot in the chest by the alleged Mesa shooter in Arizona, after he refused to give up the keys to his car. Instead of immediately calling for help, Martinez took a selfie of his bullet wound and posted it to social sharing site Snapchat When the suspected shooter, Ryan Giroux, approached Martinez demanding the keys to his car, he refused and Giroux fired at him. For anyone who didn’t get enough detail from the photos, Martinez gave his 1,200 Facebook friends a point-by-point account of how the shooting went down: “He (the suspect) came in and demanded my keys for a getaway car. Of course i said n o, and next was him pulling out a gun and cocking it. Soon as i saw it i started stepping back. And yelled for everyone to step back and get down. Next thing i knew i was hitting the ground, got up as fast as i fell, and ran out the back exit. At the same time the assailant had star

Ryback def. The Miz

Image
Ryback has made it his personal business to dash their hopes in brutal fashion A lot of Superstars have their sights set on victory in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and Ryback has made it his personal business to dash their hopes in brutal fashion, one after the other. The latest course on The Big Guy’s plate was The Miz, who has pegged himself the pre-emptive victor of the melee despite a series of embarrassing miscues with his personal assistant, Damien Mizdow. http://www.wwe.com/videos/ryback-vs-the-miz-raw-march-16-2015-27203402 In fact, Miz’s latest attempt to shame his beloved gofer nearly got him knocked out by his fellow former WWE Tag Team Champion when Ryback manhandled Miz to the outside and gave Mizdow a free shot at The Moneymaker. Miz managed to beat Ryback away and convince Mizdow to reconsider, but his diverted focus got him Meathook Clotheslined and then Shell Shocked  into the mat all the same. It was Mizdow who ended up with the
